The 'Quick Enhancement of Electricity and Energy Supply (Special Provisions) Act 2010' has been repealed.
After the approval of the Advisory Council, the President issued an ordinance repealing the law on Thursday (November 28).
Earlier on November 20, the Advisory Council gave policy and final approval to the proposal to promulgate the 'Quick Supply Enhancement of Electricity and Energy (Special Provisions) (Repeal) Ordinance, 2024'.
Although the 2010 law has been repealed, the contract under that law will not be cancelled, as per local media reports.
