Interim government to be formed: Army chief

General Waker-Uz-Zaman, the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, has announced that an interim government will be formed amid the current political crisis. He assured that all killings will be brought to justice and urged the public to have faith in the military.

"Maintain peace and order in the country. Trust me, let us work together. Please help us. There is nothing to be gained from violence and conflict. Refrain from engaging in clashes. We have built a beautiful country together," said Waker-Uz-Zaman.

The army chief made these remarks in his address to the nation at 4:00 pm on Monday.
