Jamaat chief Shafiqur calls on all to seize ‘great opportunity for change’

Jamaat-e-Islami chief Shafiqur Rahman has earnestly requested the people to believe its leaders who have made numerous promises before the parliamentary polls.

He said people should vote for Jamaat’s “weighing scale” symbol, as the party would keep its promises and fulfil the dreams it has shown to the people.

“Allah has given us a great opportunity for change. Let us make the most of it. Let us leave behind the politics of the past and build a new Bangladesh where everyone can live with dignity and respect,” he said.

He made the appeal in a nationally broadcast speech on Monday evening, aired on Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar.
