An unidentified auto-rickshaw driver was found dead in Bout area in Doulatpur upazila of Kushtia district on Thursday.
Being informed by local people, police recovered the body of the auto-rickshaw driver, aged about 25, and sent it to hospital morgue, reports UNB.
Quoting local people, Azam Khan, officer-in-charge of Doulatpur Police Station, said miscreants in guise of passengers hired the auto-rickshaw of the youth from Gangni upazila in Meherpur district.
When the auto-rickshaw reached Shyampur-Moubaria road, the miscreants stabbed the driver to death and fled with his auto-rickshaw.
Police also attested one Rocky, 26 for his suspected involvement in the murder.
