Acting BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, running from the Bogura-6 (Sadar) seat in the parliamentary elections, has submitted an affidavit declaring assets worth approximately Tk 19.7 million.
Returning to Bangladesh on Thursday after more than 17 years in the UK, the 57-year-old leader also disclosed that he has faced 77 legal cases to date -- all of which he has been fully cleared of.
According to his income tax filings for the 2024–2025 fiscal year, Tarique Rahman earned Tk 676,353. In addition to Bogura, he has submitted nomination papers for Dhaka-17 (Gulshan-Banani).
