Several DMP officers, units awarded for best performance in March

Dhaka Metropolitan Commissioner (DMP) SM Sazzat Ali today (Monday) awarded several police officials of various ranks and several of its units for their good works in curbing crimes, ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order in the capital city.
 
He handed over awards to police officers in different categories in recognition of their good work at the monthly crime review meeting at Bangladesh Police Auditorium, Rajarbagh, BSS reports. 

Mirpur Division was the best among the crime divisions of DMP while Banani Thana was adjudged the best police station in March.

Khilgaon Zone Assistant Police Commissioner M Al Amin Sarkar was the best among the assistant police commissioners while Mirpur Model Thana Sub Inspector (SI) Osman Gani and Shahbagh Thana SI Sheikh Hadiuzzaman were jointly selected as the best SIs.

Among the Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs), ASI Md. Nurul Islam Khan of Pallabi Police Station and ASI Md. Akhtaruzzaman Mondal Palash of Jatrabari Police Station were jointly awarded the best.

Detective Branch (DB), Mirpur Division was awarded the best among the divisions of the DB.

Assistant Police Commissioner Md. Raihan Shafiq of the Illegal Weapons Recovery and Narcotics Control Team of DB-Uttara Division was selected as the best team leader.

Traffic-Uttara Division was awarded the best among the Traffic Division.

Sergeant Russel Alam of Mohammadpur Traffic Zone and Sergeant Md. Asad Uz-Zaman of Badda Traffic Zone were jointly selected as the best traffic sergeants.

Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Md. Sarwar, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) S. N. Md. Nazrul Islam, Additional Police Commissioner (CTTC) Md. Masud Karim, Joint Police Commissioners, Deputy Police Commissioners, Officers-in-Charge of all DMP police stations and police officers of various ranks were present.

Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Md. Faruk Hossain moderated the meeting.
