The country’s top e-commerce company Evaly has sponsored the Bangladesh team for the forthcoming New Zealand tour, says a press release.

At the same time, eFood, a subsidiary of Evaly, has sponsored the kit of Bangladesh team.

The team sponsorship was announced by The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday at a press conference at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, the home of cricket.

It was informed at the press conference that Evaly only has sponsored the Bangladesh team for the New Zealand tour and eFood has sponsored the team kit.

Earlier, Evaly was associated with BCB in BPL. The e-commerce company has worked with the BCB even before it became a national team kit sponsor. The cricketers in the squad for the New Zealand tour attended a photo session on Monday in the new sponsor's jersey.

Speaking at the press conference, Mohammad Rassel, managing director and CEO of Evaly said, “Evaly has been involved in cricket since the beginning. Today, technology-based companies usually sponsor other teams, so as a tech-based company it was our dream to sponsor our cricket team.”

“I thank Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the visionary of Digital Bangladesh, for the rise of technology-based companies in Bangladesh. We wouldn't be inspired to do digital business if she had not dreamed,” he added.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said, “We are delighted to announce that Evaly has been the official sponsor of three ODIs and two-T20 tours of New Zealand. We thank everyone involved, including Evaly, for being the proud sponsor of the Bangladesh national team.”

Shamima Nasrin, chairman of Evaly and Arif R Hossain, chief marketing officer, HM Tarikul Kamrul, chief operating officer, among others were present at the press conference.
