Ashraful Haq appointed special trustee of EEDC

Ashraful Haq Chowdhury has been appointed as the special trustee and representative of the European Economic Development Council (EEDC), one of the world's leading development agencies, with effect from January 1, 2021, says a statement.

Headquartered in Madrid, EEDC is a non-bureaucratic, non-political, non-governmental international organisation, dedicated to faster solutions for the public and private sector needs for funding development for socio-economic and industrial growth.

The operational activities with specific mandate are surrounded in almost all countries of the world ranging over Latin, South & Central America, Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Central, East and South East Asia and the Pacific Rim.

The Executive Board, Board of Trustees and Advisory Group comprise high-profile dignitaries and experts in various development fields.

With the appointment of Chowdhury, EEDC now covers Bangladesh as its focused country due to its constant socioeconomic and industrial growth.

Mr. Ashraf, an expert in trade, investment and telecommunications sector for the past 32 years, is currently Managing Director of Star Infrastructure Consortium and a director of Bank Asia.
