Bangladesh Bank, Islami Bank jointly organise training for SME entrepreneurs

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC Rajshahi Zone launched a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Program on Monday for the country’s promising SME entrepreneurs, according to a press release.
The program is organised under the Skills for ‘‘Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program” project of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and conducted under the supervision of the SME and Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank.
Nurun Nahar, Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor, attended the event as the chief guest. Md. Omar Faruk Khan, Managing Director of Islami Bank, presided over the program while Shamsul Arefeen, Executive Director (Current Charge) of Bangladesh Bank, Rajshahi Office, Nawshad Mustafa, Director of the SME and Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank and Abu Sayed Md. Idris, Senior Executive Vice President of Islami Bank, were present as special guests. Md. Ayub Ali, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, presented a brief overview of the training program. Md. Mizanur Rahman Mizi, Executive Vice President of Islami Bank, delivered the welcome speech, while Md. Manirul Islam, Executive Vice President and Head of Rajshahi Zone, gave the vote of thanks.
The workshop will provide training to new entrepreneurs to enhance their essential skills in business operations, financial management, marketing, record-keeping, innovation, and digital business management.
