Bashundhara Cement of Bashundhara Group, one of the leading industries in the country, will supply cement for the Dhaka Elevated Expressway PPP project.
Bashundhara Group has signed an agreement with the SDRB Sinohydro JV, a joint venture of Shandong Hi-Speed Road & Bridge and Sinohydro at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters in this regard.
Safwan Sobhan, vice-chairman of Bashundhara Group, and Bai Pei Long, manager of the joint venture’s department, signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides at a city hotel.
KM Zahid Uddin, deputy managing director of Bashundhara Group’s cement sector, and Liu De Qiang, purchase manager of the joint venture, were also present on the occasion, according to a media release.
According to the deal, Bashundhara Cement will provide 0.20 million tonnes of VRM technology cement for the mega project.
After rigorous evaluation, the selection was based on factors like quality assessment, factory inspection, production capacity, and supply system, said the release.
Bashundhara Group Director Yeasha Sobhan, and Senior Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Mustafizur Rahman, joined the function.
Mohammad Kamrul Hassan, chief financial officer, Shah Jamal Sikder, chief sales officer (cement sector), Mohammad Towfique Hasan, head of division (business development, sustainability affairs and PR), Imran Bin Ferdous, head of HR & admin, Mohammad Alauddin, head of marketing, IRKM Salahuddin Biswas, deputy general manager (cement sector), and other officials were also present at the event.
