Berger Paints Bangladesh appoints Mohsin Habib Chowdhury new CEO & MD

The board of directors of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited has unanimously appointed Mohsin Habib Chowdhury as chief executive officer and managing director for a five-year term.
The appointment will take effect from August 1, 2026, subject to approval by shareholders at the company’s annual general meeting and in compliance with the Companies Act, 1994, and other relevant regulations.
Chowdhury is currently serving as chief operating officer and director of the company. Since joining Berger Paints in 1995, he has held several key leadership roles, making significant contributions in sales, marketing, and operations. The board credited him with playing an important role in the company’s sustained growth and market leadership.
At the same meeting, the board also decided to appoint Rupali Haque Chowdhury as executive director for subsidiaries, coordination director for joint ventures, and non-executive director of the company for a two-year term, effective from August 1, 2026.
Rupali Haque Chowdhury joined the company in 2002 and has served as managing director since 2008. During her tenure, she provided strategic leadership and guided the company through major phases of expansion and transformation.
The board expressed appreciation for the contributions of both executives and said it looks forward to their continued role in steering the company toward long-term growth and success.
