Citizens Bank holds training program on Islamic Banking Operations

Citizens Bank organized a training program on “Islamic Banking Operations” at its Training Academy recently, according to a press release.

Mr. Alamgir Hossain, Managing Director of the Bank, inaugurated the program as the Chief Guest and delivered an insightful speech on various aspects, scope and operations of Islamic Banking. He also emphasized the growing importance of Islamic Banking from both business and personal life perspectives.

Among others, Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman and Mr. Md. Abdul Latif, along with Mr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Shikder, Head of Islamic Banking Division, were present on the occasion.

Officers from different branches and corporate office divisions of the bank participated in the training program. It is worth mentioning that Citizens Bank has already obtained approval from Bangladesh Bank to introduce Islamic Banking Services and is expected to commence its Islamic Banking operations within the shortest possible time.
