The 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Rupali Insurance Company Limited was held in a hybrid mode on Wednesday, with the company’s Chairman, Mostafa Quamrus Sobhan, presiding over the meeting.

A large number of shareholders joined the AGM virtually and appreciated the Board of Directors and the management for their performance during 2025 despite the slowdown in the country’s economy, its adverse impact on the insurance sector, and intense competition within the industry.
Shareholders also commended the company’s overall performance and positive achievements during the year.
According to the company, Rupali Insurance posted a pre-tax profit of Tk 120.0 million in 2025.
After transferring Tk 2.5 million to the reserve fund and making a provision of Tk 27.0 million for income tax, the Board recommended a 10 percent dividend, comprising 5 per cent cash and 5 per cent stock.
The shareholders unanimously approved the 10 per cent dividend on shares with a face value of Tk 10 each for the year ended December 31, 2025, as recommended by the Board of Directors.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman Mostafa Quamrus Sobhan thanked the directors for their valuable contributions and continued support towards the company’s success.
He also praised the management for its commendable performance during 2025 despite challenging business conditions.
The chairman expressed gratitude to the shareholders for their continued cooperation, trust and constructive advice, which he said had contributed to the smooth operation of the company.
He also thanked the representatives of the regulatory authorities and other stakeholders for their continued support, dedication and contributions to the sustained success of the company.
