Daraz BD wins 'Asia One Fastest Growing Brands and Leaders' award

Online shopping platform Daraz Bangladesh (daraz.com.bd) recently won the 'Asia-One Fastest Growing Brands and Leaders' International Award under the e-commerce category.

The company received the award at a celebration programme of 11th edition of the Asian Business and Social Forum held at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai, says a media release.

Moreover, the Managing Director of Daraz Bangladesh Limited Syed Mostahidal Hoq also received as the Fastest Growing Leader award on the occasion.

The award is a special honour procreated by Asia One which celebrates and acknowledges the talented cohort of entrepreneurs from different countries for their groundbreaking business innovations.

Mr Hoq clinched the award for maintaining efficient corporate governance by creating a balance between structured operation and humanity while running the organisation successfully.

Daraz Bangladesh is maintaining the number one position in the e-commerce industry of the country over the past three years, said the release.

On May 8th, 2018, Daraz was acquired by the worldwide e-commerce giant Alibaba, which is the biggest achievement of the company.

Sara-Al-Madani, Serial Entrepreneur and Board Member, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, was present at the award giving ceremony.

Mohammed Naser Hamdan Al Zaabi, Director of Trade Promotion Department in Ministry of Economy & Hon was also present.

Ambassador of Foreign Investment Promotion – Korea, His Excellency Dr. AkimaUmezawa, Consul General of Japan in Dubai, Tennis player Sania Mirza, Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor and many more attended at the function.
