Islami Bank Central Laboratory organizes seminar on measles prevention and awareness

A seminar on measles treatment, prevention and awareness was organized by Islami Bank Central Laboratory on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in Nayapaltan of the Capital.

Professor Dr. M. Masud Rahman, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Islami Bank Foundation and Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, attended as the Chief Guest and Md. Abdus Salam FCA, FCS, and Md. S.M. Abdul Hamid, FCA, members of Islami Bank Foundation and Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC were present as Special Guests, according to a media release. 

The event was presided over by Dr. A.A.M. Kamar Uddin Mozakkir, Acting Director of Islami Bank Central Laboratory, Nayapaltan.

The program was attended by Kabir Uddin, AGM of IBF, and the Superintendents of Islami Bank Central Hospitals in Kakrail, Nayapaltan, Motijheel, Mirpur, Mugda, and Islami Bank Hospital & Cardiac Center, Mirpur.

Pediatrician Professor Dr. Ahmed Mortuza Chowdhury presented the keynote address at the seminar.

He discussed in detail the symptoms, treatment, complications and prevention of measles and highlighted the importance of regular vaccination of children.
