The 244th meeting of the Board of Directors of NRBC Bank PLC was held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka.

During the meeting, the Board reviewed and approved the un-audited financial statements for the second quarter (April–June) of 2026, according to a press release.

The meeting was chaired by the Chairman Mr. Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania and attended by members of the Board, including Chairman of the Risk Management Committee Mr. Md. Nurul Haque, Chairman of the Audit Committee Mr. Muhammad Emdad Ullah, FCA, FCMA, CPA, Independent Directors Mr. Md. Abul Bashar, Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, and Barrister Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, FCMA, Chief Financial Officer Mr. Rasedul Islam, FCA, FCMA, and Company Secretary (C.C) Md. Firog Ahmed.

According to the approved financial statements, the Bank’s operating profit increased from BDT 117 crore as on June 30, 2026, to BDT 155 crore at the end of June 2026, reflecting a 21% year-on-year growth. Net profit rose substantially from BDT 6 crore to BDT 50 crore, representing an impressive 705% increase over the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Bank’s operating profit increased by BDT 38 crore, primarily driven by higher income from investments.In addition, stronger customer deposit growth contributed to improved operating cash flow during the period.

For the six-month period from January to June 2026, the Bank’s consolidated Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at BDT 0.609, compared to BDT 0.083 during the same period in 2025.

The Bank also strengthened its financial position during the period. On a consolidated basis, Net Asset Value (NAV) increased from BDT 1,387.13 crore as of December 31, 2025, to BDT 1,446.80 crore as of June 30, 2026. Consequently, Net Asset Value Per Share (NAVPS) improved from BDT 16.74 to BDT 17.46.
