ADB Annual Meeting ends in Milan

The four-day Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) concluded on Wednesday with a key focus on digital and food systems transformation.

The 58th meeting of the regional development bank took place in Milan, Italy, from May 4 to 7, 2025, in the presence of more than 5,000 participants, including finance ministers and adviser from member countries.

The closing session took place on Wednesday.

The ADB vice presidents shared their perspectives, highlighted achievements, and outlined future directions in line with the Annual Meeting theme “Sharing Experience, Building Tomorrow.”

The session has focused on food systems transformation, digital transformation, frontiers of the energy revolution, innovation for resilience, and regional cooperation.

The opening and closing remarks are delivered by Asel Djusupbekova, the secretary of ADB. Harumi Kodama, the assistant secretary of ADB, moderated the session. Discussants were Bruce Gosper, Roberta Casall, Fatima Yasmin, Scott Morris, Bhargav Dasgupta, and Yingming Yang.
