FIFA 22 competition held at BUP

FIFA is the most popular football game franchise worldwide. The module of the game is such that it enables multiple players to compete both online and offline. Hence, the game is popular on multiplayer platforms and thousands of tournaments are arranged around the world.

Likewise, BUP Infotech Club arranged a FIFA 22 competition held at the department of Information and Communication Technology on the 31st of July and the 1st of August. The competition was one of the events at BUP Tech Surgence 2022. 

The two days long competition hosted a total of 64 participants who faced each other randomly in a knockout phase. The 2nd round comprised 32 players and the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final followed. An intense and competitive atmosphere prevailed whole throughout. 

Sifar Mahfuz came out victorious and claimed the championship. He was awarded the winner’s accolade at the prize distribution ceremony of BUP Tech Surgence. The successful ceremony ended on August 1.

Through competitions like this, Bangladeshi youths are getting more accustomed to competitive gaming. If more such initiatives are taken, the local gamers will frequently compete globally in e-sports competitions and bring fame to the country.
