Int’l media conference kicks off Tomorrow at CU

A three-day international conference on media and communication, hosted by Department of Communication and Journalism of Chittagong University, will begin at the university campus on Tuesday.

The theme of the conference is 'Media, Communication and Journalism: Prospects and Challenges in Bangladesh and Beyond'.

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu will attend the inaugural session of the conference as the chief guest at AK Khan Law Faculty Auditorium.

Prof DrIftekhar Uddin Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of CU will chair the inaugural session while MA Malek, Editor of Bengali daily Dainik Azadi will be present as special guest, UNB reported citing a media release.

University Grants Commission Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan will attend the closing session as the chief guest while CU Pro Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Shireen Akhter will be attending.

Engr Md Sakhawat Hossain, Managing Director of Western Marine Shipyard Ltd will be present as the special guest at the closing ceremony scheduled to be held on Thursday afternoon.
