MARTEC 2022 held at BUET

The 13th International Conference on Marine Technology (MARTEC 2022) was recently held at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

BUET’s Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering organised the event Wednesday through Thursday.

The conference firmly focused on the advancements in the field of maritime technology, the blue economy, modern shipbuilding, ship recycling, and Industrial Revolution 4.0.

This year, delegates from Malaysia, Indonesia, the UK, Canada, Japan, India, Turkey, and the African Continent attended the conference and shared their research papers.

Local shipbuilding and supplier companies also set up stalls at the conference venue, displaying their portfolios to foreign delegates.

Education Minister Dipu Moni attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest, while State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
