The first poetry book by Nur Hossain Al Kaderi titled 'Dhup Dhoasha' has been published after a long wait.
Eminent poet Nirmalendu Goon unwrapped the book at an event at a Gulshan restaurant recently, says a media release received on Tuesday.
The publisher of Bangla Gobeshona Anowara Shirin, poet Afzalul Bashar, artist Nuzhat Tabassum Binti, and managing director of Halda Valley Food and Beverage Ltd Shamim Khan, among others, were present at the ceremony.
Written by Al Kaderi, the book 'Dhup Dhoasha' is also furnished with exquisite artworks by Lutfunnesa Nipa and Nuzhat Tabassum Binti.
Meanwhile, Halda Valley had overseen the entire work with a promise of qualitative help the entire time.
In the programme, author Al Kaderi started his speech with a recitation of Nirmalendu Goon's poem 'Ami Aaj Karo Rokto Chaite Ashini'. The poet said although he generally writes poets on Facebook, this is his first individual poetry book. He expressed gratitude towards Halda Valley for publishing the book.
Terming 'Dhup Dhoasha' as an aesthetic publication, poet Nirmalendu Goon highly praised the poems and illustrations of the book. The poet spoke about the importance of modernism in literature and opined that literature will move forward with the advancement of science and technology.
Managing Director of Halda Valley Food and Beverage Shamim Khan said, "We wish to develop the trend of creative, genuine and life experience-inspired good literature. We hope that all of you will love the efforts made by us to enrich the literary people's soul. Halda Valley will continue helping other poets or writers in the coming years."
