Requirements:
- An advanced university degree in public health, health financing, pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and management, epidemiology, or another relevant technical field is required.
- A first university degree in a relevant field combined with two additional years of professional experience may be accepted instead of an advanced university degree.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in one or more areas is required: public health planning and management, maternal and neonatal health care.
- Experience in health financing is required for this position.
- Additional experience in strategic purchasing and experience in costing exercises, and investment case studies is an asset.
- Experience influencing government policy on UHC, PHC, and health financing is an asset.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
