Acting President and Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed will discharge his official duties from Bangabhaban while continuing to reside at the Speaker's official residence in the Jatiya Sangsad complex.

The acting president disclosed the information during a conversation with reporters, UNB reports.
Special security arrangements assigned for the president have been enforced since Friday afternoon at the Speaker's residence and its surrounding areas within the parliament premises.
Former President Mohammed Shahabuddin resigned from office on Friday citing health reasons. In accordance with the Constitution, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed assumed the responsibilities of acting president following the vacancy in the office.
Meanwhile, BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan said Acting President Hafiz Uddin Ahmed is scheduled to begin his official engagements on Sunday.
According to the schedule, the acting president will place wreaths at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar at 11:00 am to pay tribute to the martyrs.
Later, at 12:30 pm, he will visit Sher-e-Bangla Nagar to pay respects at the graves of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and offer prayers.
