The government has reinstated the operating licence of Ad-din Medical College Hospital in Dhaka's Moghbazar, allowing the facility to resume operations after its licence was revoked following the deaths of six newborns.
However, the hospital has been directed to comply with three conditions as part of the reinstatement.
The Health Services Division announced the decision through a notification issued today (Monday).
The conditions attached to the reinstatement are:
- The hospital must continue to comply with the provisions of The Medical Practice and Private Clinics and Laboratories (Regulation) Ordinance, 1982.
- It must promptly complete the recruitment of duty doctors and nurses in accordance with the terms of its license.
- Failure to comply with the licensing conditions may result in legal action by the government-authorized authority at any time.
