The murderer of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, Major (retd) Md. Mozaffar Hossain, who had been on the run for 45 years, has been arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DB).
Following the completion of legal formalities, he was handed over to the Bangladesh Army, according to DB.
Details regarding the location of the arrest, the circumstances surrounding the operation and the subsequent legal proceedings would be disclosed later through an official statement, police said.
