A woman riding pillion was killed and four others were injured after an auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a mahindra at Shibpur area of Gouripur upazila in Mymensingh on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Hamida Akter (35), wife of one Shahed Ali, a resident of Tangati Para of Gouripur; according to a media report.
Rokonuzzaman, fire service station official of Ishwarganj upazila, said the accident occurred when an auto-rickshaw headed from Ishwarganj collided with a Mahindra around 8:30am, leaving five, including the auto-rickshaw driver, critically injured.
The injured were rushed to the Ishwarganj upazila health complex where duty doctors declared Hamida dead.
