The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has revised its CSE-30 Index based on the performance of listed companies.
The new index will come into effect on December 18. The port city’s bourse reviews the index twice a year.
After the latest revision, three companies have been included in the CSE-30 Index, while three were excluded from the previous list.
The companies newly included in the index are National Credit and Commerce Bank, Pioneer Insurance Company, and Sonali Paper & Board Mills Limited.
On the other hand, NRBC Bank, Sena Insurance, and the Premier Bank have been excluded.
The new list of CSE-30 Index constituent companies includes Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills, Bangladesh Submarine Cables, Beximco Pharmaceuticals, BRAC Bank, British American Tobacco Bangladesh, BSRM Steels, City Bank, Crown Cement, DBH Finance, Delta Life Insurance Company, Eastern Bank, Eastern Housing Limited, IDLC Finance, IT Consultants, Jamuna Oil Company, Meghna Petroleum, MJL Bangladesh, National Credit and Commerce Bank, Olympic Industries, Padma Oil Company, Pioneer Insurance Company, Prime Bank, Sonali Paper & Board Mills, Square Pharmaceuticals, Square Textiles, The ACME Laboratories, Unique Hotel & Resorts, Uttara Bank, and Walton Hi-Tech Industries.
The CSE-30 companies account for 41.17 per cent of the free-float market capitalization of the CSE.
