Bangladesh Bank, Trust Bank holds entrepreneurship development training in Rangamati

A month-long Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme, jointly organized by Bangladesh Bank and Trust Bank PLC under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP), has successfully concluded in Rangamati.

The programme, implemented by the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance with support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), aimed to enhance entrepreneurial skills in the hilly region, according to a press release.

The closing ceremony, held on 13 October 2025 at the Rangamati Chamber Bhaban, was attended by Mr. Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SME and Special Programmes Division, Bangladesh Bank, as Chief Guest, and Brig Gen (Retd) Shamsuzzaman,aowc, psc (Retd.), SEVP & Principal, Trust Bank Training Academy, as Chair.

Senior officials including Md. Mahboob Hossain, SEVP & Head of Business Division, Md. AyubAli,Deputy Program Director, SICIP, Bangladesh Bank, Md. Ariful Islam, Deputy Director, Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Sadat Ahmed Khan, SVP & Head of SME Division, Trust Bank were present. A total of 25 entrepreneurs, including 23 women, received certificates and awards.

Speakers emphasized that such initiatives promote self-employment, women entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic growth, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event concluded with an interactive session and group photograph.
