Bengal Commercial Bank opens its 34th branch in Sylhet

Bengal Commercial Bank has formally inaugurated its 34th branch at “Manru Shopping City” in Chouhatta, Sylhet, continuing its commitment to delivering reliable and modern banking services, according to a press release.

Md. Jashim Uddin, Chairman of the Bank, inaugurated the Branch on 05 May 2026, Tuesday. Iqbal Ahmed OBE DBA, Founder and Chairman of NRB Bank; Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, Vice Chairman of Bengal Commercial Bank and Mr. Md. Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, Director of the bank, attended the program as the special guests. Tarik Morshed, Managing Director of the bank, presided over the inaugural ceremony, while Md. Humayun Kabir, FCS, DMD & Company Secretary of the Bank; other High Officials, clients, Local Prominent Businessmen and Dignitaries were also present.

Md. Jasim Uddin, Chairman of the Bank, reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to establish Bengal Commercial Bank as an SME-friendly Bank. He also praised the contributions of the Remittance earners in strengthening the country’s economy.

Tarik Morshed, Managing Director of the Bank, focused on ensuring banking services for unbanked people, facilitate modern banking services to customers’ doorsteps.

Bengal Commercial Bank continues to expand its footprint across the country. As part of its ongoing growth strategy, the Bank is set to open new branches in Fatikchhari, Chattogram and Baligaon, Munshiganj in this month.
