Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) is going to open a branch at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN) soon. In this regard, an agreement between the bank and Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has been signed recently.
The agreement was inked on sideline of a seminar on 'Role of Economic Zones in the Bangladesh Development Narrative' - jointly organised by EBL and BEZA at the bank’s head office, says a press release received on Tuesday.
Ali Reza Iftekhar, managing director and CEO of EBL and Md Shoab, joint secretary and general manager (Admin and Finance) of BEZA exchanged documents of the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Ahmed Shaheen, deputy managing director of EBL and Paban Chowdhury, executive chairman of BEZA along with other senior officials from both the organisations were present at the seminar.
