Marcel, one of the leading manufacturers of electronics and electrical appliances in Bangladesh, crossed the target of its refrigerator sales, set for the current month on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, said a press release.
According to Marcel authorities, the local brand set a target of selling out 30 per cent higher number of refrigerator in August this year than the refrigerators sold in the same month of 2016.
Marcel has already surpassed the target by registering about 37.68 per cent growth in its fridge sales as of August 23, 2017 against the refrigerators sold in August 2016. They are hoping for bagging more than 45 per cent growth at the end of the current month.
Mosharof Hossain Razib, head of Marcel's marketing department (North), said, sales of Marcel refrigerators increased from the beginning of the current year. The sales remarkably went up from the month of Ramadan this year, he said.
Dr Shakhwat Hossain, head of Marcel's marketing department (South), said, sales of refrigerators and freezers increased ahead of the Qurbani Eid. Already, refrigerators sales surpassed the target, set for the current month. If the weather remains favourable and the present sales trend uphold, we would be able to register more than 45 per cent growth in fridge sales in the current month compared to the sales in August 2016.
