The Premier Bank PLC has formally inaugurated its Bancassurance Business through a launching ceremony held at its Head Office in Iqbal Centre, Banani, Dhaka.
According to a statement, this initiative marks a significant step forward in the Bank’s strategic direction to integrate insurance services within its banking operations through collaboration with Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of Bangladesh and Pragati Insurance Limited.
The program was officially inaugurated by Mohammad Abu Jafar, Managing Director & CEO of Premier Bank as chief guest. Syed Nowsher Ali, Additional Managing Director of the bank; Saswata Ray, Managing Director & CEO of LIC Bangladesh, and Papia Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of Pragati Insurance Limited attended the program as special guests.
Fahim Ahmad Ashraf, SEVP and Head of ICC Division; Shamim Murshed, SEVP & Head of Consumer Banking Division; Mohammad Al-Amin, SEVP and Head of CRM; Md. Ahsan Ul Alam, SEVP and Head of Agent Banking Division; Md. Tareq Uddin, EVP and Head of Brand Marketing & PR Division; Abu Md. Sabbir Hassan Chowdhury, EVP and Head of IT Division; EVP & Head of Islamic Banking Division; Mohammad Ishrat Hossain Khan; Mohammad Akram Hossain, FCS, Company Secretary; and Mr. Nurul Alam, Head of Bancassurance of The Premier Bank PLC also attended the program.

He also added that this partnership will enable customers of The Premier Bank PLC. to conveniently access a wide array of life and non-life insurance products directly from its branch network, thereby ensuring streamlined services, professional consultation, and hassle-free claims processing.
This strategic launch signifies a transformative move toward integrated financial services in Bangladesh, offering both banking and insurance solutions in a customer-friendly, accessible format.
