The Hult Prize is a worldwide student competition that challenges university teams to solve the most pressing global issues with viable business ideas. Behind the Hult Prize is Hult International Business School. This year's Hult Prize, renowned as the world's largest student movement for social entrepreneurship, tasked participants with identifying pressing social issues under the theme "UNLIMITED". Their mission was to conceptualise a business model with significant global impact, transforming it into a sustainable, profit-driven venture aligned with one or more United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Every year one team receives US$ 1.0 million to implement the solution at a global scale.

The Hult Prize 2023-24 campus round at Jahangirnagar University reached its pinnacle with an extraordinary display of passion and ingenuity. Held at the Wazed Miah Science Research Centre's conference room recently, the grand finale unveiled groundbreaking concepts aimed at fostering sustainable social enterprises. This event was the culmination of weeks of meticulous planning, a testament to the unwavering dedication of budding entrepreneurs in tackling global challenges through innovative solutions.

The day kicked off with a heartfelt welcome speech, setting the tone for an inspiring day filled with creativity and profound dialogue. Aditi and Sajid took on the role of hosts, extending gratitude to judges, participants, esteemed guests, campus directors, organisers, and event partners for their invaluable contributions.

A panel of esteemed judges, comprising Arindam Saha, head of Business, Brandz Cooker, Debashis Saha, associate professor, Department of Finance and Banking, and Tahira Farzana, assistant professor, IBA, Jahangirnagar University, provided invaluable insights throughout the event.

Six exceptional teams, including Team Chaos Theory, Team HydroCarbon, Team Domain Expansion, Team Thrivers, Team We Showed Up, and Team Pristine, showcased their innovative solutions. Following compelling presentations and rigorous evaluations, "Team Pristine" emerged victorious as the Hult Prize Jahangirnagar University 2023-2024 winner. The transformative business concept presented by Proteeti, Rakibul, and Shihab claimed the top spot. "Team We Showed Up" and "Team Thrivers" secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.

The panel for the award ceremony, featuring Rakib Shahriar Rimen, CFO, Tenvelop; Co-founder, Peora and Ozone, Jannatul Ferdous Mohona, founder president, Project Orodhho, Md Muzahidul Islam, lecturer, Department of Marketing, and Pradeep Chandra Biswas, lecturer, Department of Finance and Banking, Jahangirnagar University, acknowledged and celebrated the remarkable achievements of the participants.

Campus Director Prishotee Khan expressed gratitude for the tireless efforts invested in organising the event, recognising the invaluable contributions of fellow organisers and department envoys. With the conclusion of this event, the sixth season of the Hult Prize at Jahangirnagar University came to a successful close, marking a significant milestone in the university's commitment to leveraging entrepreneurship for positive global change.
