AIUB Inter-College Football Championship 2026 kicks off with grand inauguration

The AIUB Inter-College Football Championship 2026 officially commenced on Monday, May 18, at the Sports Field of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).
The grand inauguration ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB, according to a media release.
Prof. Dr. Manzur H Khan, Proctor of AIUB; Dr. Ziarat H Khan, Deputy Director of Student Services and Welfare; Abu Mia Akanda Tuhin, Head of Public Relations; and Md. Joynal Abedin, Coordinator of the Office of Sports, AIUB, were also present.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and administrative officials.
Organized by the AIUB Office of Sports in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs, the championship brings together 41 colleges from across the Dhaka Division.
This prestigious tournament serves as a dynamic platform for showcasing emerging football talent and promoting inter-institutional unity and sportsmanship. The tournament will continue until May 23, 2026, offering an exciting week of football and competition, the release adds.
