Dhaka University has suspended three teachers, including sociology Prof Sadeka Halim, over allegations of ‘unacademic behaviour and moral misconduct’.
The other two suspended teachers are Prof Md Shafiqul Islam and Afroza Shelley from nuclear engineering.
The university syndicate also decided to bar four more teachers from all academic and administrative responsibilities over separate allegations.
The decisions were announced in a statement issued by the university’s public relations office following a Syndicate meeting on Tuesday.
