Australia keen to establish air connectivity with Bangladesh

Canberra today (Tuesday) showed keen interest in establishing direct air connectivity between Bangladesh and Australia, as more than eighty thousand Bangladeshis live there.
 
The interest was shown as acting high commissioner of Australia to Bangladesh Nardia Simpson called on civil aviation and tourism minister Muhammad Faruk Khan at the secretariat, a press release said.
 
In response, the minister said that he would mull over establishing direct air connectivity with Australia.
 
Khan said there are lots of potentials in working together in the field of aviation with Australia as both nations currently have excellent bilateral ties.
 
The minister assured the envoy that all sorts of assistance would be provided to the Australian businessmen to invest in Bangladesh's tourism and aviation sector.
