A trader was found dead inside his business establishment in front of Tajpur College beside Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Osmaninagar upazila of Sylhet on Thursday.
The dead man was identified as Yusuf Ali, 24, owner of 'Mayer Doa', an auto-rickshaw parts shop and son of Riasat Ali of Golapganj upazila.
Being informed by local people, police recovered the body of Yusuf Ali from his shop in the morning and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medcial College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, said SM Al Mamun, officer-in-charge of Osmaninagar Police Station.
Victim’s head, ears and portions of his face were found smashed. Police suspect that he was hit with a hard object, UNB reports.
Police are working to solve the mystery behind the murder.
On Thursday morning, police recovered another dead body of a fruit vendor named Shahab Uddin from his house in Madina Market in Sylhet.
