Detectives raid, recover 800 bottles of Phensidyl syrup in Meherpur

Detectives in a drive arrested a man along with 800 bottles of Phensidyl from a vegetable-laden truck at Shahebpur in sadar upazila of Meherpur on Tuesday night.

The arrestee was identified as Mamun, son of Matin of Bamanpara village in sadar upazila.

Tipped off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police intercepted a vegetable-laden truck while heading towards Shahebpur and recovered 800 bottles of Phensidyl, said Shahin Uddin, officer-in-charge of DB police, UNB reported.

Later, the detectives arrested the truck helper while the vegetable trader and truck driver managed to flee the scene.
