Bangladeshi journalist and content creator Emrul Kausar Emon has been awarded the Best Content Creator Award 2024 in recognition of his outstanding video productions.

The award will be presented to him on Saturday, May 17, at an event held at the Presidential Palace in Malé, the capital of the Maldives. The award will be handed over by Haris Mohamed, the Maldives' Minister of Economic Development and Trade.

The award ceremony is organised by the South Asian Business Partnership. Distinguished guests at the event include Ahmed Saaid Musthafa, Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning; Hussain Nihadh, Deputy Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation; and Abdul Jaleel Ismail, Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs and Imam of the King Salman Mosque. The event is chaired by Md. Golam Faruk Majnu, Executive Director of the Asian Business Partnership Summit.

Reflecting on his achievement, Emon said, “Content creation is a challenging profession—almost like an addiction. It showcases a person’s creativity. Content creators must constantly reinvent themselves to meet audience expectations. With dedication and hard work, results will follow.”

In 2023, Emon also received the Best Content Creator Award in Nepal. His documentaries have featured remarkable locations such as Lukla Airport—known as the world’s most dangerous airport—in Nepal, Cape Point at the southern edge of Africa, and the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

His content has captivated millions of viewers worldwide, and he is the first Bangladeshi content creator to reach the top position on Pixel.com.

Alongside his content creation, Emon serves as the General Secretary of the Rangpur Division Journalists’ Association, Dhaka (RDJA), representing nearly 500 Dhaka-based journalists. He also holds the same position in the Mobile Phone, Electronics, and Automobile Journalists Association.
