A sexagenarian man with fever and breathing problem died at Shibpur in Feni sadar upazila on Thursday evening.
The deceased used to work at a fish enclosure and returned home from Narayanganj on March 24.
Mujibul Haque Ripon, chairman of Fazilpur union, said the man had been suffering from fever and cold since March 24 last.
Nasrin Sultana, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, said the man died around 7:00pm on Thursday.
A medical team collected his samples and sent it for coronavirus test, according to a news agency report.
Local administration has put the area under lockdown following the death of the man.
