Inflation soars to 9.89pc in May

Bangladesh's inflation rate swelled to 9.89 per cent in May from 9.74 per cent in April, according to Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics data.

Food inflation rate surged by 0.54 percentage points to 10.76 per cent in May from 10.22 per cent in April, while non-food inflation slipped by 0.15 percentgae points to 9.19 per cent from 9.34 per cent in April.
