English Olympiad to be held at Daffodil University today

'English Olympiad Bangladesh 2022' to be held today at Daffodil University. The information was revealed at a 'Meet the Press' earlier at 71 Milonayotan of Daffodil Education Network in the capital's Dhanmondi area.

English Olympiad Bangladesh 2022 is organised by the Department of English, Daffodil International University, for the third time with the motto - "Show your English talent, Go for greater challenge," to make our youth competent global citizens taking the lead in international activities.

The Convener, Co-Convener, Head of the Department, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, and the Convener of the sponsor committee were present at the 'Meet the Press' to talk about the reason for organising the competition, what has been done so far and how the department is planning to hold the grand finale on 7th October 2022.

Students of classes 9 to 10 (as well as O level) and classes 11 to 12 (as well as A level) from all over the country participated in the selection round of this competition. They were divided into Senior Category (College Level) and Junior Category (School Level).

After the successful conduction of the online round, 499 (199 from the Senior level and 300 from the Junior level) contestants among 977 registered participants will compete in the theatre round to be held today at Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka. The grand finale will also be held today.

The winners will receive Tk 50,000 thousand, 30,000 thousand, and 10,000 thousand, respectively, for the top three positions in both categories.

Eminent Professors from various tertiary institutes will join as judges and guests, along with principals from selected institutions. This will be a scholarly gathering of academicians and budding stars of tomorrow.
