Chief adviser Yunus, endorsed the idea, leading to Jamuna now being recognized as a plastic bottle-free zone.

According to Shafiqul Alam, the chief adviser’s press secretary, it has been about a week since the State Guest House stopped using plastic bottled water. "Initially, I thought it wouldn't be possible, but it's been about a week since we made the switch," he said.
