Bangladesh has recorded three more child deaths linked to measles in a single day, with 126 new cases confirmed in the same period.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) regular bulletin on measles said on Tuesday that 93 people have died of confirmed cases of measles across the country since Mar 15.
In addition, 593 people with suspected measles cases have also died in that time.
Dhaka Division logged the highest number of symptomatic fatalities at 251.
The death toll across other regions stands at 88 in Rajshahi, 75 in Sylhet, 50 in Chattogram, 39 in Barishal, 55 in Mymensingh, 27 in Khulna, and eight in Rangpur.
According to the DGHS, a total of 1,009 people sought hospital care with measles symptoms over the latest 24-hour count, with 973 requiring admission.
Dhaka registered the highest caseload, with 453 symptomatic patients and 416 hospitalisations.
A total of 126 cases were confirmed by laboratory testing over this period.
The DGHS said the cumulative number of suspected measles cases in the country stands at 94,764, while confirmed cases total 11,297.
So far 73,985 symptomatic patients have been discharged after treatment.
