Bid to return to two-party settlement without students fails: Mahfuj Alam

Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam has said that the establishment’s effort to restore a two-party settlement without student participation has failed.

In a Facebook post titled “Explanation or Reality” on Thursday, he said that “complete non-cooperation from students” led to the failure of the initiative.

Given the circumstances, he called for students to be given a fair role in both state affairs and institutions, and urged unity in resisting “fascist forces and their allies.”

Alam noted that only two students have been appointed among nearly three dozen advisers, saying broader student representation is needed to ensure a more balanced and effective role.
