Govt serves show cause notice on ATAB president over administrator appointment 

The Commerce Ministry has issued a show-cause notice to the president of the Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) over the proposed appointment of an administrator to the association.

The notice was issued on Tuesday and signed by Deputy Secretary Tahsina Begum.

According to the notice, an application has been received seeking the dissolution of ATAB’s board of directors and the appointment of an administrator.

In the show-cause notice, the ministry asked the ATAB president to reply within seven working days of receiving it as to why an administrator should not be appointed as per the application under Section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act, 2022.
