Govt to provide 30,000 tonnes of salt for Eid rawhide preservation

The government is expected to supply 30,000 tonnes of salt to help preserve the rawhide and skin of sacrificial animals across the country during the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.

Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin said this while speaking to reporters after a preparatory meeting held at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

He also noted that the government would take necessary measures to prevent extortion on highways and across the country during the Eid season.
