Grade 3 student burnt to death, 3 others injured in school fire in India’s Arunachal

A third grader has been charred to death, while three others have been injured in a fire at a government residential school in Shi-Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh, NDTV reports.
The incident occurred at a hostel of Papikrung Government Residential School around 2am on Sunday, the report cited PTI.
The child has been identified as 8-year-old Tashi Jempen from Chango village, according to the report.
The injured have been identified as Lukhi Pujen, 8, Tanu Pujen, 9, and Tayi Pujen, 11. They were first taken to a hospital in district headquarters of Tato, around 85km away, but later shifted to Zonal General Hospital at Aalo in West Siang district for better treatment. Aalo is another 130km from Tato, around a five-hour journey.
The injured are reportedly out of danger.
A police team has been sent to the remote village, located 17km from Monigong town, to look into the incident, the officer was quoted as saying.
A probe is under way to ascertain the cause of the fire, he said, adding that the village does not have power connectivity.
Papirung is located just before the last Indian Army post in Tadadege village.
