Train movement to and from northern districts was snapped for over two hours on Wednesday morning, following the blockade near Nandangachh station in Pabna, demanding intercity train stoppage there.
Five trains from Rajshahi and nearby districts remained stranded at different stations due to the blockade that started at 6:15 am, called by local people.
Public Relations Official Rezaul Karim Siddique said train movement has been normal after the blockade was withdrawn at 8:40 am.
However, due to the disruption, he said, trains schedule for the five intercity express- Sagardari, Modhumati, Bonolata, Mohananda and Silk City- will be delayed to their respective destinations.
All other train movements remain normal, the PRO told the FE.
