A total of 9,869 members of Bangladesh police were infected with coronavirus across the country until Friday morning.
“Among the cases, 5,794 policemen have made full recovery so far,” said sources at Police Headquarters.
Most of the recovered policemen have joined their respective duty stations, the sources added.
Among the total infections, 2,193 policemen are attached to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) alone, said the sources, according to UNB.
The sources also informed that 9,004 policemen were sent in quarantine while 4,188 cops have been undergoing treatment in isolations.
The sources also informed that 37 cops have so far died of Covid-19.
Bangladesh has so far reported 1,30,474 coronavirus cases and 1,661 deaths.
Health authorities on Friday reported 3,868 new cases and 40 deaths in the last 24 hours until Friday morning.
